So I have had family here helping every night since last Wednesday. Last night was my first night without any help from family in a week. I was a little nervous that I would not get any sleep. However, I actually did it successfully. James Michael woke up to eat at around 11:30. Normally when I get done feeding him, he has passed out in my arms. If I try putting him in his crib he wakes up screaming 10 minutes later. Well last night, I held him for about an hour til he fell asleep after his feeding, and to my surprise, I was able to go to bed for 2 full hours before he woke me for his next feeding! I was so proud of myself. I was actually able to repeat the same event at his next feeding! I actually slept in MY bed last night, as opposed to the rocking chair or couch! I feel so refreshed!
Today has been a good day so far. James Michael is currently in his swing "cat napping". This morning we took a nap on the couch because he wasn't really wanting to sleep in his crib. He has hardly cried today which makes for a very happy mom. I have had a splitting headache today, so the quiet has been nice. While he has been swinging, I have been able to catch up on the TV shows that I slept through last night!
I hope tonight goes just as well!
